The ideal candidate excels in professional editing software and brings a creative storytelling approach to every project. Key Responsibilities Proficiently use Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other video editing tools to produce polished content. Leverage knowledge of social media trends and color grading (a plus) to make videos more engaging and interesting. Edit videos to targeted lengths and specifications, ensuring logical sequencing and smooth runtime. Handle and organize raw and edited video files efficiently. Export videos in appropriate formats and sizes for mobile and web distribution. Shoot video and produce content as necessary to support projects. Explore different versions and creative directions to optimize impact. Ensure all work complies with the highest journalistic standards. Create rough and final cuts, consulting with stakeholders from production through post-production. Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency. Requirements and Skills Proven work experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio demonstrating editing ability. Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut). Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity editing. Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing. Creative mind with excellent storytelling skills.
