About the Role
As an Academic Counsellor, you will play a key role in guiding potential learners, helping them identify the right career path, and showcasing how upGrad’s programs can accelerate their journey. You will be responsible for driving enrollments and revenue by nurturing leads, providing consultative counselling, and closing sales in a highly competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Engage with potential learners through calls, video sessions, and in-centre meetings to understand their career goals and recommend suitable programs.
• Drive weekly & monthly enrollment and revenue targets by effectively converting leads into admissions.
• Manage the complete sales lifecycle from first interaction to enrollment and post-sales support.
• Track and improve key performance metrics such as counselling sessions, conversion rates, and revenue.
• Maintain accurate learner records on CRM and share feedback with the Marketing team to improve lead quality.
• Work closely with centre teams to ensure a smooth learner journey and high satisfaction levels.
Skills & Experience
• Graduate with 2–5 years of experience in consultative or B2C sales (education industry exposure preferred).
• Strong communication, persuasion and relationship-building skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Empathetic listener with ability to build trust and focus on learner success.
• Comfortable with CRM tools and basic MS Office proficiency.
