Healthcare Assistant

We are looking for a Caregiver / Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Helpee Health Tech Private Limited to provide quality healthcare services to patients. The day-to-day tasks involve monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and assisting doctors in medical procedures. The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹21,000 - ₹25,000. Caregiver / Patient Caregiver Job Description 1. Personal Care Support Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene. Provide mobility support, including transferring, walking assistance, repositioning, and maintaining proper body posture. Ensure the patient’s cleanliness, comfort, and overall well-being. 2. Medication Assistance Remind and assist patients in taking prescribed medications on time as advised by doctors. Maintain medication records when required. Report any side effects, health concerns, or changes in condition to family members or supervisors immediately. 3. Health Monitoring Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure (BP), blood sugar levels, pulse rate, and temperature if trained to do so. Observe and report physical, emotional, or behavioral changes in the patient. Assist with basic exercises or physiotherapy routines as advised by doctors or therapists. 4. Food and Nutritional Support Assist with feeding when necessary. Ensure adequate hydration and proper nutrition throughout the day. 5. Companionship and Emotional Support Provide companionship and emotional care to reduce loneliness and anxiety. Engage patients in conversations and light recreational activities. Encourage social interaction and positive engagement whenever appropriate. 6. Household Assistance Maintain cleanliness of the patient’s room and surrounding area. Perform light household tasks such as laundry, organizing essentials, and maintaining hygiene. Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy living environment. 7. Safety and Emergency Handling Identify and prevent fall risks or other safety hazards. Respond calmly during emergencies and inform family members or supervisors immediately. Follow all safety guidelines and infection-control practices at all times. 8. Documentation and Communication Maintain daily care reports and patient activity records. Communicate regularly with family members and the company regarding patient updates. Follow company SOPs, policies, and care protocols strictly. Maintain cleanliness of medical equipment and patient surroundings. Use gloves, masks, and protective equipment when required. 10. Patient Dignity & Privacy Treat patients with dignity, patience, and respect at all times. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy. Respect cultural, religious, and personal preferences. 11. Mobility & Bedridden Patient Care Assist bedridden patients with repositioning to prevent bed sores. Support wheelchair assistance and safe movement. Help prevent muscle stiffness through movement support. 12. Appointment & Hospital Support Assist patients during doctor visits, hospital appointments, or diagnostic tests if required. Maintain and organize medical reports and prescriptions. 13. Behavioral & Dementia Care (if applicable) Handle elderly patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or memory-related conditions with patience. Manage confusion, anxiety, or difficult behavior calmly. 14. Professional Conduct Maintain punctuality, discipline, and professional behavior. Avoid mobile phone usage during duty hours except for emergencies. Follow company policies and report concerns promptly. 15. Shift Handover & Coordination Provide proper handover notes to replacement caregivers or family members during shift changes.
