Quality Control Engineer

Job Description: QC Engineer (Construction Industry) Position: Quality Control (QC) Engineer Industry: Construction Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction work meets project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection plans for construction projects. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, and construction activities. Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards. Review material submittals, test reports, method statements, and quality documentation. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues. Perform inspections for civil, structural, finishing, and MEP works as per project requirements. Identify non-conformance issues and initiate corrective and preventive actions. Maintain records of inspections, quality reports, test results, and compliance documentation. Monitor incoming materials and verify compliance with approved standards and specifications. Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all project stages from execution to completion. Participate in client and consultant inspections, audits, and project handover processes. Support site teams in implementing best quality practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory compliance during inspection and quality processes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in quality control within the construction industry. (Can be adjusted based on requirement) Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, materials testing, and inspection procedures. Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, checklists, and reporting systems. Experience in civil, structural, finishing, and MEP quality inspections. Knowledge of construction drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications. Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools. Good communication and coordination skills. Preferred Skills: Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Knowledge of ISO quality standards is an advantage. Experience working with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
