JOB OFFER BY INTERNATIONAL PACKAGING COMPANY BASED AT VASAI NEEDS FACTORY MANAGER Job Description: Factory Manager Company: EA Packaging India Private Ltd Location: Vasai, Maharashtra Position Type: Full-time, On-site Role Overview The Factory Manager will oversee all daily operations of the Vasai manufacturing plant to ensure maximum productivity, safety, and efficiency. This leadership role requires directing production schedules, managing shop-floor personnel, maintaining strict quality standards, and optimizing operational costs. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Direct daily manufacturing operations to meet strict production targets. Schedule shop-floor workflows to maximize machine and labor utilization. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track plant efficiency. Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste and downtime. Quality & Compliance Enforce rigorous quality control standards for all packaging products. Ensure full compliance with local labor, environmental, and safety laws. Maintain a clean, hazard-free workplace through regular safety audits. Lead root-cause analysis for any product defects or equipment failures. Team Management Supervise, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and shop-floor workers. Identify training needs to improve workforce skill levels. Manage labor allocation and resolve internal grievances promptly. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture on the factory floor. Supply Chain & Maintenance Coordinate with procurement to ensure steady raw material supply. Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all plant machinery. Manage inventory levels of finished goods and raw materials. Control operational budgets to minimize overhead and production costs. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field. An MBA in Operations is preferred. Experience: 8 to 12 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a plant leadership or managerial role. Experience in the packaging industry (corrugated boxes, flexible packaging, or plastics) is highly desirable. Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities. Language: Fluency in English and Hindi is required. Knowledge of Marathi is a strong advantage for local labor management. Location: Must reside in or be willing to commute/relocate to Vasai.
