Molecular Lab Technician Experince-2-5year Molecular Laboratory Technician (Also called: Molecular Biology Technician, Molecular Diagnostics Technician, PCR Technician) Job Summary A Molecular Lab Technician performs laboratory testing and analysis using molecular biology techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, sequencing, and sample preparation. The role supports research, diagnostics, quality control, or biotechnology operations while maintaining laboratory safety and documentation standards. Key Responsibilities Perform molecular biology experiments and diagnostic tests. Conduct DNA/RNA extraction and sample preparation. Run and analyze PCR/qPCR/RT-PCR assays. Prepare reagents, buffers, and laboratory media. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Record, analyze, and report experimental or diagnostic results. Follow SOPs, GLP, GMP, CAP, and biosafety guidelines. Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and inventory. Assist in validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities. Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of laboratory workspace. Coordinate with scientists, microbiologists, pathologists, or QA teams.
