ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking results-driven and highly motivated Business Development Managers to join our growing Sales & Expansions team. The ideal candidate will have a strong consultative sales background, the ability to connect with entrepreneurs and business owners, and a passion for driving meaningful impact through smmart’s training programs. You will be responsible for acquiring new clients, managing the sales pipeline, and achieving revenue targets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Revenue Generation: Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through program enrolments as set by the Departmental Head. • Customer Acquisition & Meetings: Conduct 18–25 meetings per week with SME and entrepreneur prospects to pitch smmart’s offerings and close deals. • Lead Management: Track and follow up on all incoming leads from CRM, campaigns, referrals, and review channels. • Sales Presentations & Consultations: Conduct structured solution-selling presentations based on smmart’s sales frameworks including SPANCO, SPIN, and Burgers. • Conversion & Closures: Handle objections, offer tailored solutions, and ensure quick conversion from inquiry to enrolment. • CRM Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of meetings, lead progress, closures, and pipeline forecasts in DAR/CRM. • Client Servicing Coordination: Ensure post-enrolment formalities, and coordinate seamless handover to the Review & Delivery team. • Seminar & Workshop Conversions: Drive enrolments by converting footfalls from smmart workshops and seminars into full program participants. KRA & KPI KRA KPI Target Revenue Generation Program sales (monthly/quarterly) ___________ Lead Conversion Rate Qualified leads to closure ratio ___________ Client Meetings No. of prospective meetings conducted 18–25 / week CRM Accuracy Deals updated with correct stage, TAT & notes 100% Workshop / Seminar Conversions No. of enrolments converted post-event ___________ CORE COMPETENCIES & REQUIRED SKILLS Competency Description Results Orientation: Strong focus on daily targets, closures, and consistent revenue generation Entrepreneur Connect: Ability to engage SME owners, understand their challenges, and pitch effectively Communication: Excellent verbal and presentation skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi Resilience & Energy: Maintains confidence and positive attitude through rejection and pressure CRM & Reporting: Disciplined daily CRM updates, DAR, and pipeline management Negotiation: Handles objections effectively and converts resistance into enrolment Student Mentality: Actively seeks feedback, coaching, and continuous self- improvement Ownership: Full accountability for assigned leads, pipeline, and monthly targets QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Graduate in any discipline — Mandatory. • MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development — Preferred. • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in B2C / B2B consultative sales roles. • Proven track record of achieving targets and managing multiple accounts or territories. • Experience in handling channel partners or franchise networks is an added advantage. • Must be open to extensive travel across locations.
