Accountant (Articleship)

We are looking to grow, and we want someone who wants to grow with us. What This Role Is This is an execution and oversight role. You will be the person who ensures client work gets done correctly and on time — reviewing work done by articled assistants / staff, managing client communication, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Assist in audit engagements by reviewing books of accounts, verifying supporting documents, and ensuring audit checklists are completed accurately and on time • Review income tax returns (ITR 3, ITR 4, ITR 6, etc.) and GST filings prepared by articled assistants / staff before submission • Handle routine client calls and emails independently — status updates, document requests, basic queries • Track all compliance deadlines (ITR, GST, TDS, ROC) and ensure zero lapses • Review books of accounts, P&L, and Balance Sheets for accuracy before finalisation • Guide and mentor articled assistants / staff on technical matters and work quality • Flag issues with context and a recommended course of action • Contribute to streamlining workflows and reducing repetitive back-and-forth What We’re Looking For • CA Intermediate cleared — this role is strictly for candidates with a CA background; applications from other fields will not be considered • 2–5 years of experience in a CA firm (articleship experience counts) • Hands-on experience with income tax filings, GST returns, TDS compliance, and basic audit • Comfortable on client calls — clear, confident, and professional • Proficient in Tally and MS Excel; familiarity with the income tax portal and GSTN portal • Someone who takes ownership and follows through without needing constant reminders What You Won’t Find Here • The thankless grind culture common in larger firms • Rigid hierarchy where your ideas don’t matter • Being stuck doing only one type of work with no exposure to the full practice • Being treated as just another resource — you will be a valued member of a professional team Compensation ₹25,000 – ₹50,000 per month, depending on experience and qualification.
